“What season is it now, Lord? Winter? Fall? Spring?
A time to hibernate and rest? A time for me to sing?
How do I fit into your scheme? When will this season pass?
How long before you answer? How long will these times last?
The seeds have long been planted; my roots are growing deep.
But the leaves are starting to wither. How long before I reap?
The weeds have choked their years from me; I need the springtime rain.
I long to see new flowers bloom, where once grew only pain.
When questions go unanswered; when life’s a mystery,
I know one thing will never change, and that’s Your love for me.
I cannot make a garden grow by struggling on my own.
But I can lift my petals high, and let you bring the growth.” – Rebecca Jordan

Some of you may be in a season of change right now. Maybe you’re getting married, starting a family, changing jobs. Or maybe you’re in a season of weeping, confusion, disappointment, suffering. The Bible says there is a season for everything under the sun, but it doesn’t end there. We see that God makes everything beautiful in HIS time. Not ours.

There is a purpose for everything He gives His children. And when we know that there is a purpose behind what we’ve received, we can appreciate the magnitude of our Heavenly Father entrusting us with it. Whatever you are facing today is not a coincidence. It was planned out with meaning and purpose before you were formed in your mother’s womb! Accept it, appreciate it, and look for the beauty in it. These aren’t my words! It’s a promise given to us in God’s word! And no matter how we “feel”, we can trust that what He says stands.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace…He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 11
